Moto G5S Plus specs leak hints at 5.5-inch display, dual rear cams and new design

Motorola is prepping to release its first special edition handsets, the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus. Both these handsets have been under the rumor radar for quite some time now. Once again, the latter has become the target of a new leak spilling the beans about its design and features.

Based on the marketing material of Moto G5S Plus, Venture Beat has reported that the device will be an upgrade in size, material and imaging department. It is said to sport a display screen larger than that of Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. While the latter two were seen endorsing 5.0-inch and 5.2-inch display, the Moto G5S Plus will come with 5.5-inch screen. It will, however, retain the G5 Plus’ Full HD resolution with 1080 x 1920 pixels.

The camera at the front for selfies will be of 8MP resolution. Two other Motorola devices touted to come with dual rear cameras are the Moto Z2 Force and Moto X4.

In terms of design, we will be seeing the Moto G5S Plus clothed in an aluminium body giving it a more premium look and feel. Other internal hardware specifications like Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage remain unchanged.
