Moto C leak shows its boot logo

A new image has leaked out giving us a glimpse of another Motorola device. From the single pic we have with us, it cannot be ascertained which device it is, but knowing that the rumored Moto X 2017 features the LED at right, our bet is that this device could be the Moto C handset that recently impressed the good folks over at EAEunion, bearing model no. XT1750.

And from what we already know, the picture above tells us that this is the boot logo for Android 7.0 Nougat, something we definitely expect to come as pre-installed on any Motorola launch now, given that both G5 and G5 Plus also rock Nougat out of the box.

Though, do take this leak with a grain of salt as it still remains to be confirmed whether it’s actually the Moto C or not. A couple of days back we managed to get a peak at what the upcoming Moto X 2017 would look like.

Based on the position of the flash and the shape of the fingerprint reader shown for the current leak, we can safely say that the two devices are different. The Moto C might stay in the mid range segment similar to the all metal Moto M.

Though LG and Samsung have played their aces with the G6 and Galaxy S8 flagships, it seems Motorola has no plans to release a new flagship just yet, and we would see a couple of mid-range options first, in Moto C and/or Moto X 2017.

As for the Moto Z 2017, it may get pushed towards the later half of the year as the current Moto Z devices were launched in October 2016.

  1. I am really happy to see the Moto logo being preserved by Lenovo and not nosing in and changing the moto element to something very different.
