Micromax is all set to launch a new Android 5.0 Lollipop based smartphone called Canvas Play in India. The device has been listed on the official website of the vendor revealing its entire complete spec sheet, but the pricing and availability details are yet to be announced.
As per the listing on the official Micromax website, the Micromax Canvas Play will house a 5.5 inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854×480 pixels and it will be equipped with a quad core MediaTek MT6582 processor ticking at 1.3 GHz clock speed. The device will use 1 GB of RAM and a 2,820 mAh battery.
The Micromax Canvas Play is touted to arrive with a standard 8 GB of native storage space that can be expanded further using a micro SD card. It will boast of a 5 MP main snapper and a VGA front facing selfie shooter. The other aspects of the device are dual SIM support and 3G connectivity.
From these specifications, we can expect the Micromax Canvas Play to be priced in the sub Rs 5,000 price bracket in India.
It was only recently that Micromax announced the Canvas Spark smartphone. The device is all set to go on its first flash sale on April 29.
