Meizu MX2 Price leaked

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous of the Chinese having access to high-end smartphones at prices we often get only mid-range devices, and those lucky folks might be getting another low-cost high-end Android device very soon, as GizChina is reporting that the Meizu MX2, images of which were leaked earlier today, will cost only 2,599 yuan ($417 or €328) for the 16GB variant.

That is an incredibly low price yet again from a Chinese manufacturer for a device that (according to rumors) sports top of the line specs – including a 4.4″ 720p display, 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 2GB RAM, an 8 megapixel camera, 16/32/64GB of storage, a 1930 mAh battery, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean – similar to a Galaxy Note 2 in most aspects except the display and battery capacity, while costing almost half of the 5.5-inch Samsung phablet.

The Meizu MX2 is to be officially announced on November 27th, with a release date rumored for January next year. No one is expecting it to be available outside China, but we can always hope.
