For every custom ROM addict that loves trying out different custom ROMs, nandroid backups are a very important tool – they allow users to take a full backup of their current ROM in recovery and restore it later on. Titanium Backup, the most popular root tool for Android, then came up with the feature of extracting particular apps and data from nandroid backups, extending their use even further.

Now, a new app solely dedicated to managing nandroid backups has shown up for Android, called Nandroid Manager. Supporting backups made in ClockworkMod or TWRP recovery, Nandroid Manager allows you to view info on all your saved nandroid backups, extract particular data from it like apps, contacts, SMS, Wi-Fi access points etc, restore the entire backup, and much more.

It also has some other tools, such as installing a new custom recovery or fixing permissions, making it an awesome new tool for rooted users. It might not be as feature packed as Titanium Backup, but for anyone looking to manage their nandroid backups via a dedicated app, Nandroid Manager is a great new app that I hope to see get even better.

Here’s the full feature list of Nandroid Manager.

  • View basic info about your nandroid backups.
