Budget Friendly LG Splendor Launched for US Cellular

US Cellular has just made the LG Splendor official and is already selling it online for $80 with a 2-year agreement (and $100 mail-in rebate). We saw it in the rumor mill last week, but didn’t expected that it’d launch this quick.

The LG Splendor comes with Android 4.0 out of the box with a 4.3 inch IPS display, Corning Gorilla glass, 1Ghz single core processor, 5MP rear camera along with a 0.3MP front camera, 2GB of internal storage and 4GB microSD card (expandable upto 32GB).

And like all other phones from LG, the Splendor will also be running LG’s custom UI atop Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. But that doesn’t spoils much since LG’s custom UI is more in Google’s stock Android 4.0 flavour — only launcher and icons look different or say ‘touchwizee’.

The LG Splendor will be available in stores starting from Wednesday, for now, you can order it at the US Cellular website.
