LG sets up e-commerce site in Kenya

Sensing consumer demand in the country, the multinational LG Electronics has set up an e-commerce site in Kenya. The LG online store dubbed LG Brand Shop will stock a broad range of electronics and home appliances.

LG MD East and Central Africa, Janghoon Chung said that the LG online shop will provide customers in Kenya with a 24-hour access to products. He added that customers will be able to avail a one-year free insurance for purchases of KES 60,000 or more in addition to a two-year warranty on all products.

In the words of Janghoon Chung:

We are thrilled to launch online shopping in Kenya. This significant milestone fully rounds out LG’s multichannel offering. Along with seven retail stores and products available in major supermarkets, our customers in Kenya will now have twenty-four-hour access to the best of our innovative, genuine and quality products via their computers, smartphones, and tablets from anywhere in the country.

LG will provide free delivery to customers who shop on the LG Brand Shop. The setting up of the online shop follows LG’s recent KES 100 million investment in retail outlet expansion in Eastern Africa.
