LG Optimus LTE 2 Jelly Bean Update leaked

LG had announced earlier in mid-October, that they will be starting the rollout of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Optimus LTE 2 in November. Blog Of Mobile reports that the Jelly Bean update for two of the Korean variants of the LG Optimus LTE 2 – LG-F160K for Korea Telecom and LG-F160S for SK Telecom has been leaked out. The new firmware will update the Android OS build number to JZ054K, which we all know represents the Android 4.1.2 build, and it would appear that LG is fast-tracking its updates by leapfrogging to the latest one, before Android 4.2.

Apart from the faster performance, more responsive interface, redesigned notifications, Google Now, offline voice typing etc, that Jelly Bean updates bring, the update will also add new features such as Q-Slide, which allows a user to display two apps on the screen simultaneously – similar to the Multi-view on Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2, and QuickMemo, which lets users take notes from anywhere on the device.

Specific rollout dates are not known yet, but we expect it to start hitting handsets soon enough.
