LG Optimus 4X HD Releasing on June 11 in Germany, Coming Very Soon to Other European Countries

The LG Optimus 4X HD, the third quad-core phone – also the second Tegra 3 quad-core phone – in the Android world is releasing on June 11 in Germany, to be followed by Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom and Italy. The rest of Europe, along with Asia, CIS, South and Central America will get it in the coming weeks and months.

Much like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the HTC One X, which the Optimus 4X HD will be competing with, the specs of the device are quite heavy-handed. The 4X HD features the Tegra 3 quad-core processor at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch True HD 720p display, 16GB storage with microSD card support, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, and a 2,150 mAh battery to take care of all the power under the hood, and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. LG also has a “surprise” in store for the device’s launch, though further details on the surprise weren’t made available.

Stay tuned for further details and for release dates in other regions.
