LG G6 Plus and G6 Pro to release on 27th June in South Korea

LG G6 Plus

The LG G6 Plus and the LG G6 Pro now have a launch date. Last week we reported that both these handsets would be launched sometime this month. And a new report coming in from Korea suggests that it will be on June 27.

LG is apparently joining hands with Three mobile telecommunications to launch the LG G6 Plus and Pro variants on the aforesaid date in its home turf.

The LG G6 Plus is said to offer 128GB of onboard storage as well as the wireless charging capability — both of which were absent in the original LG G6. On the other hand, the G6 Pro model will offer 32GB of storage (which is less than that of the original LG G6 in Korea) and a slightly less powerful set of specs.

There’s still no word on whether any of these models will come with Snapdragon 835 SoC onboard but what we do know according to the rumor is that the company will be introducing a new color called “Optical Astro Black,” which is believed to lend the smartphone, different shades of black based on the angle you see it.

The company is anticipating to expand the user base of LG Pay (which was launched recently in South Korea) with the launch of LG G6 Plus and G6 Pro. The report further suggests that the LG V30 which will be launched in September will be made available in 32, 64, and 128GB variants.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Plus variant could carry a price tag of 999,800 won ($890) with the G6 Pro priced around 799,800 won ($715).
