LG G6 display can split into two perfect squares

LG’s much awaited high-end smartphone G6 will feature multi-window display that can split into two perfect squares giving much better experience, thanks to the new LG UX 6.0. The new UX allows users to simultaneously enjoy web surfing and video on a single screen divided into two perfect squares.

LG G6, as we know, will feature a 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display (2,880 x 1,440) with an 18:9 screen aspect ratio that almost entirely fills the front of the smartphone. The phone’s new UX takes advantage of this and offers better multitasking experience with GUI (Graphical User Interface) that enables the opening of two perfectly square windows side by side.

One can also view more information when surfing the web, or while reading e-books owing to the large screen which features an expanded top and bottom. For those users, who may not be comfortable with the new 18:9 screen aspect ratio, LG has a new feature which allows them to view existing 16:9 ratio content easily in the new 18:9 format.

Offering endless combinations, the expansive 18:9 display enables users to multi-task. One can open a call reception window next to the calendar app or the photo gallery at the same time as the message app or type a memo on one side while surfing the web on the other.

Another great feature is the customized Collage Wallpaper which a user can prepare by connecting multiple square photographs together and set it as a lock screen.

With so much on board, plus the combination of robust hardware and software, the LG G6 is definitely something we look forward to. The release is close, which is February 26th at MWC, and expectations are already running high!
