Yo! We’re only 4 hours from LG’s CES 2015 event to go live, but the leaks for LG G Flex 2 aren’t stopping. Only an hour ago we reported that the device may also come in pink color and now we have the complete specsheet of the device. And yes! The earlier rumors were true, the G Flex 2 indeed has a 5.5-inch display and a Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor coupled with 2GB DDR4 RAM.
The leak comes from a leaked press release of the device which is as reliable of a source as it can get. The LG G Flex 2 is a successor to the G Flex which was released in 2014 with a unique curved design and self healing features that allows the device to be bent or straighten.
The LG G Flex 2 has a smaller 5.5-inch screen compared to its predecessor which came with a 6-inch screen. The device was large for year 2014, but with the Nexus 6 now at 5.9 inches, this will only become a trend so we believe LG should have stayed with the bigger display. Anyway, the G Flex 2 features a 1080p display which is much much better than the 720p display on the original G Flex.
The camera on the LG G Flex 2 looks similar to that of LG G3, a 13MP with OIS + Laser Auto Focus on back and a 2.1MP on the front. However, we can’t be sure yet if it’s the same unit as on the G3 or slightly more improved.
The LG G Flex 2 is powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery and the device is weighed around 152 grams. Also, the G Flex 2 will be running on Android 5.0 lollipop out of the box, meaning you’ll be running the latest version of Android right away.
On the performance part, the LG G Flex 2 is significantly improved than its predecessor. The fact that it rocks the latest high-end processor from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 810 and a 2GB DDR4 RAM, is enough to make us believe that the device will compete just fine with flagship devices from all major manufacturers. And the device’s curved display and self-healing back will be an advantage for it.
LG G Flex 2 price and availability should be announced at the company’s CES 2015 event today. Stay tuned with us..
