Lenovo working on a Dual SIM phone with 1080p display

The age of 720p displays is at an end, the time for 1080p displays has come, or so it seems as we’ve seen quite a few smartphones with 1080p displays get announced recently, including the HTC Droid DNA or the China-only Oppo Find 5. Well, Lenovo doesn’t want to be left behind, as they are also working on a dual SIM Android smartphone with a 1080p display for the Chinese market.

A couple of screenshots were leaked from the Lenovo smartphone, though is has not been confirmed what the size of the screen will be, with reports of it being somewhere between 4.5 inches and 5.5 inches. The currently available 1080p displays from Sharp and JDI are all 5 inches in sizes so we can expect Lenovo to be using a 5 inches or larger display as well, specially since it won’t make sense to have such a high resolution in a smaller-sized display.

According to Engadget’s source, the phone has been in the DVT (Design Verification Test) phase for some time, so an official announcement can be expected to happen soon, and we’ll be sure to report back to you guys when that happens. Till then, drool on!
