LeEco, the Chinese conglomerate, was quite aggressive during its initial days with some or the other launches happening quite frequently. However, over the past few months, the company kept mum. It seems like the hiatus has come to an end as the company launches the LeEco Le Pro 3 Elite Edition.
Before the ‘Elite’ label in its moniker excites you enough, let us break it to you that the smartphone has nothing elite about it. In fact, it is a watered-down version of the company’s original Le Pro 3 handset.
On the specifications front, under-the-hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset which is a downgrade from the Snapdragon 821 chipset on the original Le Pro 3. Also, unlike its predecessor, there’s no NFC support on the Le Pro 3 Elite Edition.

Other features, though, for instance, the metal unibody design, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable onboard storage space remain the same. Â It still has a 5.5-inch Full HD display with the 2.5D curved glass running over the top.
For photography, the smartphone has a 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor (f/2.0 aperture) at the back and an 8MP (f/2.2 aperture) sensor at the front for selfies. On the software side of things, the smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s EUI 5.8 custom skin atop. A 4,070mAh battery backs the entire package. It also has support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
With a price tag of CNY 1699 ($246), the smartphone is already up for grabs via Jingdong, LeEco Mall, Lynx. On purchasing the device, users will get a free, 3-month membership access to the company’s video streaming service.
