Leaked Qualcomm’s roadmap includes Specs of Snapdragon 616/620/625/815/820

New Qualcomm Snapdragon Processors

What you see above is a roadmap of Qualcomm processors that will grace our Note 5s or flagships of 2016. One M10, Galaxy S7, Xperia Z5, LG G5? The Snapdragon 600 series belong to mid-range to below-top-range while those belonging to the elite group of Snapdragon 800 series, the 815 and 820, will more likely garner our interest more than anything else going forward.

Out current darling is 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chip that is expected to light up HTC One M9, Xperia Z4, LG G4 and maybe some units of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge too. But if you ask what’s next, then SD815 and SD820 are the answer. You can expect SD815 to power most of the devices until summer of 2016, after which, SD820 would gun forward. That’s similar to what we saw with Snapdragon 800, 801 and 805 processor in last 12 months, with SD810 taking the stage now.

The ultra-high-tech 14nm process in use for SD820 is keeping us drooling over, but we know we’re good deal of time away from it.

Current line-up of new budget to mid-range devices (Yu Yureka to HTC Desire 820) are powered by Snapdragon 615 processor. Upgrade to SD615 are SD625 and SD629, supporting up to 4GB of RAM, thus it will be possible for even mid-tier devices to get you whopping 4GB RAM when these two chips are out in the market.

Looking forward to future, eh!
