Kodak IM5 Release Date and Price revealed for UK

Last month at CES 2015, Kodak announced its first smartphone, the Kodak IM5 and said that it would start shipping the device at the end of Q1 2015, no exact release dates were shared. But only recently, British retailer Clove reported that the phone should be in stock by early April in the UK, costing £189.98 (approx. $290).

The Kodak IM5 is manufactured by Bullitt and is a mid-range device which runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Kodak’s own custom built UI. The company states that the phone has been designed to make it easy to take, store, share and print photos. The device has a 13 MP rear camera and sports a 5MP camera on the front. It features a 5-inch 720p display and also a dedicated app store with handpicked selection of apps. Other specs include an octa-core MediaTek processor, 1GB Ram, 8 GB of internal memory (expanded via microSD card).

The IM5 is not actually designed for the regular Android users, but for those who are not familiar with the system and need a phone which happens to capture excellent photos. There are large buttons on the home screen and key operations are made as easy as possible. On the whole, we can state that it is a decent offer from Kodak for the given price.
