Despite all the action Motorola is going through in Germany, Japan still seems to be a hot market to unleash some of its newer, most exciting products in to.

Softbank Mobile, a.k.a Vodafone Japan, announced its first Android handset, in the form of the Motorola RAZR M 201M. The sleek phone ships with Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich, and is expected to be out towards the end of this month.

The RAZR M, also called the Motorola Scorpion Mini, features a 4.3″ qHD display (540 x 960 resolution), 1.5 GHz dual core processor, 8GB internal storage and 8 MP/3MP rear/front cameras, is a sleek and capable device, and as good as any of the beasts out there. The RAZR M also features a Kevlar fibre based back panel, along with a Japan-specific mobile wallet.

All in all, this looks like a device which has all the right features and the looks, to successfully compete with the best. And Motorola, at this point, needs strong players like these, more than ever.
