It seems Samsung is on the 5.1 update spree. The latest Samsung device to receive Android 5.1.1 update is international Galaxy S6 Edge, model no. SM-G925F. Only moments ago, T-Mobile Galaxy S5 Android 5.1 update was seen rolling out. The build no. of the 5.1 update firmware is G925FXXU2BOFJ!
Earlier, T-Mobile’s S6 and S6 Edge also received the 5.1 update, while it’s the international S6 Edge becomes first device to receive Android 5.1 update from Samsung outside of T-Mobile. Other S6 variants at Sprint, Verizon and A&T should be receiving the Android 5.1 update soon, too, maybe within 30 days.
It’s surprising that Galaxy S5 got the Android 5.1 update before the Galaxy Note 4, but the latter should be receiving it real soon now. If not June, then July 2015 should be when Noe Note 4 users get the 5.1 update.
