Instagram has emerged as one of the simplest ways to share the photos with friends and followers on mobile. But, this app has come with a major limitation.
Lately, the images have been resized to a low resolution of 640 x 640 pixels that is noticeable when scaling through the timeline. While the current smartphones can click higher resolution photos, the team at Instagram is implementing a change that many users will like.
Users can upload images to the server and these can be viewed at 1080 x 1080 pixels. The capability to view the images in higher resolution is rolling out to both the Android and iOS applications.
Moreover, the users need not update their application from Google Play Store to receive this feature. It is a subtle change and the users will start seeing photos in higher resolution in their feeds automatically.
