Huawei P10 to feature on-screen optical fingerprint scanner and wireless charging

The Huawei P10 is expected to feature an on-screen fingerprint sensor, according to a leak. You can finally say goodbye to wet fingers! This fingerprint scanner may be based on the same tech found on the LeTV Le Max Pro, which uses an ultrasonic scanner.

The P10 is also expected to sport wireless charging, which will be a first for Huawei. Samsunghas been quick to as support for wireless charging on its flagship sets, launching it with Galaxy S6 and upgrading it to fast charging on Galaxy S7, other OEMs are taking the note too now.

LG is rumored to hand G6 wireless charging capability too, and even though Google upset few people by not providing support for this tech on its Pixel sets, we expect nearly all flagships in 2017 to support wireless charging.

The Huawei P10 specs leak hints that the device will feature top of the line internals. The smartphone is also expected to be shipping with Nougat 7.0 out of the box, and may get the upgrade to Android 7.1.1 later on, sometime in Q1 2017.

The previous gen Huawei P9 on the other hand has received a Marshmallow based update that brings email printing feature to the device. In other news Huawei, the Honor Magic was revealed few days back, which comes with a plethora of new features.
