A new software update is available for the Huawei Mediapad M3, which brings several system optimizations and installs the December Android security patch. The Mediapad M3 is an 8.4-inch tablet that was released in October last year.
The update is available as an OTA right now and its build number is BTV-W09C128B003. The size of this update is 333 MB and Huawei recommends that you install it to improve the user experience.
Huawei has included several software optimizations in this update. The user interface in the Settings app, Calendar, and the Camera app, have been improved. The touchscreen firmware has also been optimized. As per the change-log, Google Mobile services gets a new update as well.
Before you install this update, make sure the tablet has more than 50 percent charge and is connected to a stable WiFi network. It is also important to take a back up of all your data in case something goes wrong. Â This update is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. According to a recent leak, the Mediapad M3 will be getting the Android Nougat update in March.
