Lately, Huawei is in the headlines for the launch of its flagship smartphone Huawei P8 in the next week. In the meantime, it looks like the firm is prepping to rollout the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to some of its yesteryear devices including Ascend Mate7, Ascend P7, Ascend Mate 2 and Ascend G7.
Well, the updates will start rolling out from May and the first one to receive the Lollipop flavor will be the Ascend Mate7 that went official in September 2014. The Ascend P7 and Ascend Mate 2 will follow and they are slated to receive the update starting from July.
Notably, the Ascend Mate 2 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and it will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop directly skipping the one for KitKat. The mid range model Ascend G7 will receive the Lollipop update in September.
Apart from the rollout of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, it looks like these devices will also get the refreshed Huawei Emotion UI 3.0. Huawei seems to have not excluded any of the important models while rolling out the update making it impressive as it considers the users important.
