HTC U specs leak continues

The confusion behind the name of HTC’s 2017 flagship phone seems to have died down and now we have a fair idea about it. Internally named HTC Ocean, the flagship phone will be released as the HTC U. Now that the moniker is clear, it has started soaking the leaks emerging about it.

The latest leak to surface throws light on HTC U’s battery capacity. Coming from the Twitter handle of @LlabTooFeR, we get to know that a 3000mAH battery (akin to Galaxy S8) will keep the lights on HTC U.

Other rumored specs of HTC U are a 5.5-inch WQHD (1400 x 2560 pixels) display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage space. The phone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with the company’s Sense 9 UI on top. This will be powered by top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with Adreno 540 GPU.

The smartphone will flaunt a 12MP rear camera and a 16MP selfie shooter, which is similar to those found on HTC U Ultra. However, at least one of these sensors is believed to be replaced by Sony’s newest version. The HTC U will reportedly be launched sometime in April followed by a global release in early May.
