It looks like the Taiwanese tech giant HTC is working on a competitor to Android Auto. The device is likely to be codenamed Cello and to be more capable than the Android Auto in-car system developed by Google.
As per a Reddit poster, the Taiwan based firm is prepping a device codenamed Cello and has posted what seems to be an HTC Release Note as shown in the image below.
The HTC Cello is likely to be based on Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped with a special version of Sense UI called Sense Automotive that is designed specially for cars. The HTC Cello is said to be packed with features such as Night Vision, Mini HMI (Human Machine Interface), Sonar, DVD, Lane Departure Warning System, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Navigation and GPS.
The source has also revealed that the device was named Autobot previously and it has been subjected to testing since the last quarter of 2014.
