A few days back, a HTC smartphone called M9e was leaked and it was claimed to be a plastic variant of the One M9+. The latest reports suggest that this device will be called One ME9 and that it will be launched in India soon.
The import listing has revealed that 1400 dummy units of the alleged ME9 smartphone have entered the country on May 8. This means that the retail shelves will soon be stocked with the units of this smartphone as its release is imminent. The listing reveals two separate entries with varying model numbers and hence, we can expect two color variants of the ME9.
As it is claimed to be a plastic version of the One M9+, the ME9 could be an affordable version of the device. The notable aspect is the polycarbonate back panel instead of the metallic unibody design. Also, the back of the device does not have the Duo Camera arrangement and it retains only the 20 MP main snapper.
Otherwise, the ME9 seems to be almost similar to the One M9+ in terms of specifications. As of now, there is no information on the price or release date of the One ME9 smartphone or on its global availability.
