The Taiwan based manufacturer HTC has announced that it has started rolling out a software update to its flagship smartphone One M9. This update is said to bring enhancements to the battery life and camera.
As per the firm, the update has been released in select Asian markets and it is also rolled out in Europe. The other regions will receive the update in the coming weeks. The firm further stated that the One M9 users can experience better low-light images and enhanced auto-exposure after receiving the update. The update is also said to enhance the smart charging feature.
In terms of imaging, the update will provide an algorithm that will improve the overall dynamic range of the image so that the pictures appear balanced and detailed, specifically in bright light conditions. It will further bring improvements to the pictures taken in low light so that the images are clearer than before, truer colors and the details are more apparent.
The update will also bring overall improvements to the One M9 battery life. It will reduce the power consumption by applications such as Google Hangouts, Skype, Facebook, YouTube and other social apps. This way, users can watch more videos without worrying on the battery life. Another improvement is in the smart charging feature that is aimed to keep the phone cooler when it is in charge.
