HTC One M7 Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update now rolling out for Unlocked and Developer edition devices

HTC is all set to begin rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to HTC One M7 today. The factory unlocked and Developer edition variants of the device will be the first to receive the Lollipop update, while Carriers branded variants of M7 may take some more time, depending on the willingness of your carrier.

HTC’s VP at Product management, Mo, posted the following on his twitter today “HTC One (M7) Unlocked and Dev owners! Enjoy the Lollipop update! OTA has been released”.

Android 5.0 still isn’t out for majority of Flagship devices from various manufacturers, let alone the mid-range ones, but it seems Google is already set to release the next version of Lollipop, Android 5.1, and ironically, it’ll come to one of the most budget device in the market first, Android One.
