The Taiwanese tech firm HTC has joined hands with supermodel Jourdan Dunn and the renowned tattoo artist Cally-Jo and come up with a limited edition variant of its flagship One M9. This limited variant of the device is called One M9 INK and it is inspired from the body art.

The One M9 INK has an engraving back panel that makes it similar to a tattoo. The engraving comprises of two symbols – an eye and a hand. As per HTC, the eye symbolizes strength and sincerity while the hand symbolizes positivity and protection.

The tattoo artist Cally-Jo has designed the handset while Jourdan Dunn, the global INK ambassador of HTC will promote the new One M9 variant.

As the One M9 failed to be a commercial success for the firm, the vendor witnessed dropped share values. The firm is rumored to have trimmed the production volume by 30 percent. As the One M9 has failed to sell as expected, the firm appears to have launched this special edition device to lure the potential buyers. Lately, HTC announced a 24-karat gold UEFA Champions League variant of the One M9.

HTC is yet to announce the pricing and availability details of the limited edition One M9 INK. There are chances for the device to be priced almost similar to the regular variant of the smartphone as it does not feature superior build materials.
