HTC has not announced any great device after the launch of its flagship smartphone One M9 in March this year. Now, the firm’s chairperson and CEO Cher Wang has revealed that there is more to arrive from the Taiwanese firm later this year. He tipped that the firm is planning to unveil a slew of new smartphones by the end of this year.
The One M9 is an impressive smartphone, but device has attracted criticism for being too similar to the One M8, the yesteryear flagship device. At the same time, Samsung came up with the revamped and all new metallic Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge that dominated the Android smartphone market.
Unlike the previous launch cycles, it looks like HTC will not unveil the One M9+ that will be almost identical to the One M9. A recent report reveals the firm’s CEO claiming that a new series of smartphones will be launched. It remains to be seen if this will be launched as a few devices in a random manner or an all new product line.
Meanwhile, the HTC 850C was leaked online in the last week. The device was said to be a Desire smartphone model and that it is meant for the Chinese market. The dual SIM support on the alleged HTC 850C makes it clear that it will not make its way into the Western smartphone market.
