Google Sheets Android app gets Mouse/trackpad support and several other new features

The regular users of Google Sheets Android app have good news as there are interesting updates that will make your work easier. Released way back in 2014, Google Sheets app is the Google equivalent of Microsoft Excel and has gathered its own fan base in these 3 years. With an eye on this fan base and looking to gain more support, Google has released a new update for the Google Sheets app which brings a host of cool new features.

The latest update brings a new feature of ‘Rotated text in cells’ which will come pretty handy for writing long titles. Using this feature, you can rotate the text in a cell in Sheets. Another noticeable feature is the ‘accounting number format’ which will enable you to align currency symbols within the spreadsheet. You also get support for mouse/trackpad once the updated version of Google Sheets is installed in your device.

Other changes, according to the changelog on Google Play Store include the following:

-Drag and drop to move rows and columns
-Color palettes show custom colors used in the spreadsheet
– Bug fixes and performance improvements

Google has released the new update for Android phone or tablet and the file size and version varies with the device.
