Google Nexus S Goes Live
The phone’s spec sheet is not much different from Samsung’s Galaxy S devices, and there are only a few new hardware: 1GHZ Cortex A8 (Hummingbird) processor, 4” Contour Display and NFC (near field communication) hardware to read information from NFC tags — a short-range wireless technology that can be embedded in all kinds of everyday objects like movie posters, stickers and t-shirts.
The very much awaited Android 2.3 Gingerbread serves a refined UI, VoIP, improved copy/paste, portable Wi-Fi hotspot and a multi-touch on-screen keyboard. We’re yet to know of more changes as the device has not hit the stores yet.
The Google Nexus S will be available from December 16th to all T-Mobile customers, and also at all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores in the U.S. And from December 20th at Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy retailers in U.K.
It’s a pure Google phone. Fast, Slick & open! Watch the video below to get a glimpse of it.
