Google Nexus 7 Tablet Details and Price Leaked, $199 for 8GB and $249 for 16GB

We’re only two days away from Google I/O and the imminent announcement of the ASUS made Nexus 7 tablet, and the details (which we already knew) of the Nexus 7 have been leaked along with its pricing, in an internal training document obtained by Gizmodo Australia

According to the document, the 8 GB version will cost $199 while the 16 GB version will cost $249. It also mentions the following specs, which we already know thanks to previous leaks:

  • 7″ IPS display with 178 degree viewing angles (1280×800 resolution)
  • 8GB and 16GB storage options, priced at $199 and $249
  • 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)
  • NFC with Google Wallet loaded
  • 1.2MP front camera, no rear camera.
  • 9 hours of battery life

Everything that has been heard about the Nexus 7’s specs till now has been confirmed in the document it seems, such as the quad-core processor and the missing rear camera. Again, Google seems to have overlooked putting in an external SD card slot, which is pretty normal for them and one of the reasons many people decide to not buy Google’s Nexus phones. But the Kindle Fire, which the Nexus 7 will be competing with, sold pretty well without one, so it shouldn’t be a factor that turns away customers this time.

So, a quad-core Android 4.0 Jelly Bean running tablet for $199/$249. Getting one? Or will the missing SD slot and rear camera be reason to pass? Let us know in the comments.

Rear camera worthless, sd sad,but adapter will work, but For $250 the Memo 370T would have had HDMI, SD, 8mp camera and so on. Maybe when Asus brings out their model down the road it won’t be a mini Ipad. My self, I will add $250 and buy the Asus TF700T and do it right.
