Get the New Android L Navigation Bar Buttons with this Xposed Module

Google introduced a new set of navigation bar buttons for Android with announcement of Android L at Google I/O 2104. The new set of navigation bar button resemble to Sony’s Playstation controller, but are otherwise a neat decor to the navigation bar.

The Android L developer preview has only released for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013. But, if you’d like to try out these new Android L Navigation Bar buttons on your current Android phone, you can do so with the help of Xposed framework and the “Android L Navigation Bar” Xposed module.

The icons included in the module are straight from Android L official release with support for screens of all resolutions.

The Android L navigation bar module will work on almost all Android devices that uses UI close to stock Android, the developer has also added support for HTC sense so it should work fine on your HTC devices as well.

Installation Instructions

  1. Make sure you have proper Root Permissions on your device, as Xposed Installer prompts for Superuser permissions.
  2. Install Xposed Installer on your device and reboot your device.
  3. Install the Android L Navigation Bar module on your device and activate it in the Xposed Installer.
  4. Reboot your device once again and you’ll see the new Android L navigation bar buttons on your  can access various controls on your navigation bar.
