Gameloft’s Blitz Brigade released for Android, free and with in-app purchases as expected

Gameloft has always been pretty shameless at ripping off popular first person shooter games and releasing mobile games inspired by them, and now Gameloft has released its anticipated multiplayer game Blitz Brigade for Android, inspired by the immensely popular Team Fortress 2.

Blitz Brigade is the first true “class-based” multiplayer game, and as such should find plenty of multiplayer gaming fans welcoming it with open arms. Up to 12 players can play against each other in multiplayer games, with the option to choose between five classes: Soldier, Gunner, Medic, Sniper, Stealth. There are multiple game modes such as Domination and Deathmatch, over 100 class-specific weapons, 3 different vehicles, and also voice chat to “create your game plan in the heat of the action.”

First time playing a multiplayer game or just want some practice? Well, Gameloft has you covered there as well with 120 training missions, where you can master each class’ specialized skills, pilot a helicopter or drive a tank, which should ensure you never run out of things to do online or offline.

Blitz Brigade is free, so expect to see a lot of in-app purchases (IAPs) for getting more out of the game, though hopefully none of it is required to have a good time. It’s a 1.3GB download and can be downloaded from the Play Store, so go frag ’em!
