Galaxy Tab S3 release date set for 26th February, invites are out

Putting a full stop to the ever increasing line of leaks and rumors about Galaxy Tab S3, Samsung has made the official announcement to release the brand new Tab at the MWC event to be held in Barcelona on Feb 26, 7pm local time.

The company also sent media invites adding drama to the announcement. Now you would ask what’s dramatic about an invite. Well, it is the teaser attached to it.

Samsung doesn’t want to let go of the curiosity built up by the all the hearsay news about Galaxy Tab S3. And, the teaser, which appears in the form of an image, with the media invite only incites the curious mongers as it doesn’t reveal totally nor deny the fact that it is Galaxy Tab S3 launch for which Samsung has called on the media.

The teaser image gives us just a sneak peak of the product to be launched. By sneak peak, we mean only the lower third of a tablet which houses physical home button. We guess, it should come with an embedded fingerprint sensor. Even this glimpse is enough to push our memories back to 2015 when Galaxy Tab S2 was launched, obviously, due to the similarity in shape of the teaser image and its predecessor.

The launch in Q1 was expected with the Tab S3 already clearing Bluetooth SIG, Wi-Fi Alliance certifications and being spotted on GFXBench. Thanks to all these listings, we already have a fair idea what Samsung’s new Tab has to offer.

It should come in at least two variants: WiFi (SM-T820 and LTE (SM-T825) and sport sharp 9.7-inch 1536 x 2048 pixels toting super AMOLED display. Powered by Snapdragon 820 it will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It will feature a 4GB RAM. On the camera side of things, the rear camera could be a 13MP shooter while the front camera may come with a 5MP snapper.

With almost all the specs known and date of release announced, it is the price tag which should keep our curiosities alive. After all, there should always be something to look forward to.
