Galaxy Tab E and Grand Prime update rolling out with April security patch

Samsung is seeding a new firmware update to Galaxy Tab E and Grand Prime units. The update installs April security patch.

The update arrives as build number G530FZXXU1BQD1 and build number T113NUDXS0AQD1 to Galaxy Grand Prime and Galaxy Tab E respectively. Other than April security patch, the update enhances system improvements and ensures that your device stays protected from malware and other known threats.

The OTA update is on the roll as we speak, but if in case you haven’t received the update yet, be sure to go to Settings > About device > System updates and check manually. Before hitting the download button, ensure that your device is sufficiently charged and connected to a WiFi network.

Meanwhile, Samsung is preparing to bump up the OS on Galaxy A8 2016 to Android Nougat as the device has been spotted on GFXBench running the Nougat OS. The smartphone was launched last year in October with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on-board.
