Samsung released its 2017 flagship smartphones, Galaxy S8 and S8+, in Mobile World Congress 2017 and the global release is set for April 21st. While Galaxy S8 has been launched with 4GB RAM, the premium S8+ model comes in 4GB RAM/64GB and 6GB RAM/128GB storage variants. A new leak has surfaced online revealing the price and availability of of Galaxy S8+ 6GB.
To be sold exclusively in China, the 6GB/128GB variant of Galaxy S8+ will cost around 7000 CYN ($1000) and will come in Midnight Black color. Samsung has announced a pre-order offer for Galaxy S8+ 6GB/128GB which includes a free Samsung DeX station which otherwise costs 160,000 won ($142).

Galaxy S8+ is the second Samsung smartphone to boast of 6GB RAM, the first being Galaxy C9 Pro which was launched last year.
This move by Samsung to release 6GB Galaxy S8+ in China exclusively is being seen as a step to compete with other Chinese OEMs like Vivo. The latter has launched a couple of phones with 6GB RAM (Vivo Xplay6, X9 Plus, Xplay5 Elite).
