Galaxy S8 pre-orders will be 30% more than that of Galaxy S7, claims Samsung

Samsung seems to have put all its bet on the most anticipated smartphone of 2017, its Galaxy S8. The company has already declared that the pre-orders for the S8 will be exceed that of Galaxy S7 by 30%. That is a bold statement given that this next Galaxy flagship is yet-to-be released on March 29.

Having said that, the statement seems plausible as well. After all, the hype created around the S8 device has got all of us hooked on to it.

The statement has been made by a Samsung Electronic official and quoted by a Korean website.

Pre-orders are a good way to gauge the public sentiment and demand towards a product and prepare for the bulk production in advance. Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy S8 pre-orders are likely to begin after two days of the launch event which will be held on March 29.

A lot has been said and written about the device, so much so, that nearly all its specs have been leaked. Going by these, it should come in two variants, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. The Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch display while the S8 Plus will feature a 6.2-inch display. Both will opt for bezel-less look with dual curved edges with the first ever aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and 83% screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S8 will carry Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with Adreno 540 GPU. It will pack a 6GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage for base variant. There is the new AI assistant called Bixby which will recognize both images and voice. It should be shipped with Samsung’s wireless headphones with Active Noise Cancelling featuring. The base model is rumored to be priced at around $849.
