Galaxy S8 and S8+ OTA update rolling out with June security patch in US

Samsung is currently rolling out June security patch for its flagship devices, Galaxy S8 and S8+ in US.

The update is an OTA update and will reach your device in the coming days. The update has the Build number G950USQS1AQF7 for S8 and G955USQS1AQF7 for Galaxy S8 Plus.

As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along under-the-hood performance improvements.

It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent.

As already mentioned, the update is an OTA update, however, if you haven’t received the OTA update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
