How to Boot into Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Recovery Mode

Recovery mode on your Galaxy S7 allows you to do a handful of critical jobs on the device without booting into Android. It is particularly helpful when your device’s software has corrupted and isn’t booting so you want to factory reset the device OR when you have to manually install an OTA update zip.

Entering recovery mode on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is similar, and has remained the same for all generations of Samsung Galaxy S series.

How to Boot into Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Recovery Mode
  1. Power Off your Galaxy S7.
  2. Press and hold “Volume UP + Power + Home” button together and as soon as you see Galaxy S7 Boot logo, release all three buttons.
  3. When you see an exclamation mark on screen, press and hold Power button and hit the Volume Up button for once.
Note: This step won’t be necessary if you’ve a custom recovery like TWRP installed on your S7.

Hope this page helps you. Happy Androiding!
