Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Nougat update rolling out in Baltic States Europe

After receiving Nougat updates in Taiwan and Philippines, the hefty 1.2GB update will be rolling out in Baltic States of Europe and will also be including security patches for the month of February.

Targeting both the S7 and S7 Edge users, the updates are being provided via OTA and brings in various features including the ‘Secure Folder’ which was previously present in the Note 7. While there was no official confirmation or announcement from Samsung’s side, the image provided speaks for itself.

We ask our users to ensure that your personal data is backed up and your device has at least 50% charge. While the incremental updates do not remove/delete anything from your device, it is always a good idea to maintain backups. We also recommend downloading the update preferably over a Wi-Fi connection due to its stability over mobile data.

If you feel that OTA updates do not seem to be working for you, you can manually check for updates by going in Settings > About Device > System Updates . We expect the Nougat update rollout to complete by the mid of March.

Also to be seen is how soon the inclusion of Google’s Voice Assistant take place into the recently updated S7 and S7 Edge.
