Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Nougat update based on February security patch released by Samsung

Samsung’s flagships are receiving the February security patch update today as an OTA today, coming in as build QB7. The full build version, based on Android 7.0 Nougat, is G930FXXU1DQB7 for the Galaxy S7, while that for Galaxy S7 Edge is G935FXXU1DQB7.

It’s only been two days since the previous generation flagships in Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge received their own February patch security update, so we can say we were expecting the update for the S7 sets anytime now.

The update should also bring performance and stability improvements over the previous build of Nougat present on the flagships.

You can download the update by heading over to Settings » About device » System Updates and manually check from there to grab the OTA. Before proceeding to download the OTA, ensure your device has at least 50% charge and also make sure that all of your important data has been backed up.

Samsung has indeed cast a spell on us and have us our toes with these upcoming devices. The reality of the upcoming Galaxy S8 and its different variants are slowly starting to solidify as more leaks should make its way out with the launch getting nearer.
