Galaxy S6 Edge update rolling out with June security patch, build G925IDVS3EQF1

Yesterday we reported that Galaxy A5 2016 and Tab A 2016 are receiving the June security patch. Today, we are glad to report that another device from Samsung, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is also receiving June Security patch.

The update that arrives as OTA (Over the air) comes as build number G925IDVS3EQF1. As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along bug fixes. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.

It is advisable to keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent and connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update.

And, in case you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.

Meanwhile, last month T-Mobile released the Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
