Galaxy S3 to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor in the US?

An unnamed Samsung executive has claimed that the Galaxy S3 coming to the US will not be sporting Samsung’s much talked about quad-core Exynos processor but instead sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Samsung’s Exynos 4 Quad processor that will be powering their next-generation smartphones and tablets including the Galaxy S3 got a lot of heads turning, but might not be making its way to the US.

According to The Korea Times, Samsung will be using the quad-core Exynos processor with 3G in Europe, while the Korean variant will feature LTE support as well. Only the US variant will be getting the Snapdragon treatment which will disappoint a lot of potential customers in the US. This is similar to what happened with the HTC One X, which will be coming to the US in the form of the One XL and also sport LTE connectivity and a (dual-core) Snapdragon chipset instead of the quad-core Tegra 3 chipset on the One X.

Nothing is certain yet, and more details should surface as the official announcement of the Galaxy S3 draws closer, so stay tuned for further information.
