This is as good a confirmation as any that the GT-I9300 and the Galaxy S3 are one and the same device. The Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 appeared on Samsung’s official PC suite software Kies in the list of devices, though with a picture of a Galaxy Note on it, which is no surprise as Samsung is keeping the final design of the Galaxy S3 under wraps till its official unveiling. There’s also a GT-I9300T in the devices list also called the Galaxy S3, which will probably be a cheaper S3 variant for particular markets.
With a leak like this coming from Samsung’s own software, one can’t help but think that Samsung is now intentionally leaking information in order to further build up hype for the Galaxy S3, which isn’t a practice unheard of. Already set to go down in history as one of the most hotly anticipated smartphones ever, calling it fever pitch excitement doesn’t even begin to explain it as people wait restlessly for the official announcement.
