Galaxy On5 2017 nears its release, spotted at Wi-Fi Alliance

A new Samsung device bearing the model number of SM-G5528 has turned up at WiFi Alliance for certification. Based on what we already know about the Galaxy On5 (2016), Which comes as model no. SM-G550x, we can say that this device stays closest to being the 2017 variant of the Galaxy On5.

To add more proof to this being the next iteration of the Galaxy On5, take a closer look at the firmware version G5700ZCU0APF7 which bears the model no. of SM-G5700, which actually belongs to Galaxy J5 Prime. Well, don’t fee confused about this, as Samsung has mixed up On5 series and J5 Prime series earlier too — especially when it launched the Indian J5 and J7 Prime as On5 2016 and On7 2017 in China back in 2016.

So, it should be the Galaxy On5 2017 for China. And it should be releasing in next few months time, maybe once Samsung is done with its biggest launch yet, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
