Galaxy Note 8 set to miss this next-gen tech

Just a few hours back, we reported that the on-screen fingerprint sensor for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is still under consideration. Looks like we have some intel on it.

If you were excited about the on-screen fingerprint sensor, this news will break your heart. Posted by the Twitter user, Mmddj_china, the news about Note 8 suggests that it won’t feature the on-screen fingerprint sensor due to various technical limitations. *Sob Sob* This means, similar to Galaxy S8 and S8+, the fingerprint sensor will be present on the back of the device.

However, on the bright side, Samsung will not ditch the on-screen fingerprint sensor completely but will continue to work with companies such as CrucialTech that are independently working to create a display integrated fingerprint sensor. So, if not Note 8, then maybe Galaxy S9 will definitely feature the on-screen fingerprint sensor.

Meanwhile, many leaks have suggested that Galaxy Note 8 will feature 6.3-inch infinity display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8+. Besides that, there are many rumors about dual cameras on Note 8.

The other specifications as per previously leaked specs include Snapdragon 835 coupled with 6GB RAM and 256GB memory. In addition to that, Galaxy Note 8 is going to be powered by 3,600mAh battery and Android Nougat 7.1.1.
