Galaxy Note 5 becomes Android 7.0 Nougat update certified for T-Mobile, AT&T and Canada

The current heir to the Galaxy Note Series throne just got the green light for the update to Android 7.0 Nougat for SM-N920A (AT&T), SM-N920T (T-Mobile) and SM-N920W8 (Canada). The three Note 5 variants just got listed at WiFi Alliance, our trusted-ever page of tons of info about upcoming devices and software updates.

So, yes, the thriving Galaxy Note 5 is in for the Nougat update. What should’ve been the Note 7 receiving Nougat now, if not for the grave disaster that struck said device, the Note 5 gets to carry on its legacy.

Along with the Note 5, the Galaxy S6 sets are also expected to gets a touch of Android 7.0 build come March.

Now, it isn’t like the Note series is dead, there will definitely be a Note 8 so you Note loyalists out there need not fret. The Note 5 itself is a solid device in terms of performance and build quality.
