Lately, the smartwatches that fall into the wearable device segment are gaining popularity in the tech world. Now, it looks like wearable or wrist-mounted smartphones will evolve taking the wearable device segment a step further. These were seen only in sci-fi movies and video games, but it appears like it will become a reality.

Well, it is the new project on IndieGogo for a flexible wrist-mounted smartwatch that has triggered all these talks. The highlight of this device is its flexible display and body that lets users to bend it to any form. As per the designers, the device makes use of an F-OLED (Flexible Organic Light Emitting Diode) display that has the ability to roll into a 5.5 inch circumference circle. Apart from these, there is a flexible circuit board and a flexible Flex-ion battery as well.

The display of the Blu is claimed to be protected by the Corning Willow Glass that is nothing but a flexible version of the Gorilla Glass.

The Blu is tipped to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor teamed up with 4 GB of RAM and an enormous 128 GB of storage space. The device is claimed to flaunt a 13 MP main snapper at its back and a nano SIM card slot. It is likely to have an invisible speaker as well onboard.

The designers claim that they have built a Gesture Oriented User Interface (GOUI) that can track the orientation of the wrist to adjust the interface’s position so that it is aligned with the user’s view.

The project is likely seeking a funding of $1 million in a few days. The funding right now is higher than $93,000 and team needs the remaining fund soon.
