How to Install Eaglesblood ICS ROM on T-Mobile G2x

1. Download the latest version of the ROM from the original development page.
2. Download the Google Apps package (this is required since the ROM itself doesn’t contain Google apps like Market, Talk, etc).
   Download Link  |  Filename: gapps-ics-20120215-signed.zip
3. Transfer the zip files downloaded in step 1 and step 2 to the root of the external micro SD card on your phone.
4. Turn off your phone and wait for complete shutdown.
5. Boot into Clockworkmod (CWM) recovery. Hold Volume Down & the Power button until the device boots to the recovery. In recovery, use Volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to select.
6. Now, perform a full wipe:
   1. Select “wipe data/factory reset”, then select “Yes” on next screen to confirm data wipe (will NOT wipe your SD card). Wait for wipe to complete.
   2. Select “advanced”, then select “wipe dalvik cache”, then select “Yes” to confirm. Then, select “go back” to go back to the main recovery menu.
7. Now, select “Install zip from ‘External SD Card’”.
8. Scroll to the ROM file you transferred in step 2 and select it. Select “Yes –Install *rom_name*.zip” on the next screen to confirm installation.
9. After the ROM finishes installing, again select “Install zip from ‘External SD Card’”, then scroll to the Google apps package file you downloaded in step 2. Select “Yes – Install gapps-ics-20120215-signed.zip” on the next screen to confirm installation of the Google apps.
10. After the installation is complete, select “go back” then select “reboot system now” to reboot the phone and boot up into Eaglesblood ICS ROM.

XDA member irtehun has just released a brand new custom ROM based on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Nexus S 4G. It’s called Nuhetri reloaded 4G, and is touted to be the fastest ICS ROM to date. For those who came in late, the Nexus S is the first Android device on which Ice Cream Sandwich was demonstrated. It is a Nexus device or a Google Experience Device, manufactured by Samsung.

How to Install Nuhetri Reloaded  on Nexus S 4G

1. Download the latest version of the Nuhetri ROM from the original development page.
2. Now, transfer the file you downloaded in step 1 to your phone sdcard via USB cable
3. Turn off your phone. Boot up into Clockworkmod recovery. To do this, hold Volume Up & the Power button until the device boots to the recovery. In recovery, use Volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to select.
4. Now scroll to the option “Install zip from sdcard” and select it. Then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Scroll to the ROM file you downloaded in step 1  ” nuhetri-reloaded-4G-v1.0.0.zip” and select it. The ROM will now start installing.
5. Now, perform  a selective wipe:
   • Select “wipe cache partition”, then select “Yes” on next screen to confirm cache  wipe (will NOT wipe your SD card). Wait for wipe to complete.
   • Select “advanced”, then select “Wipe Dalvik cache”, then select “Yes” to confirm.

     NOTE: Do NOT wipe data/factory reset, there is a bug and your phone won’t boot if you do. Check the original development thread (linked above) for updates to this, and for now DON’T WIPE.

6. After the wipe process has been completed, , select “go back” then select “reboot system now” to reboot the phone.
7. You should now boot into the Nuhetri Reloaded ROM powered by Ice cream Sandwich.

LG officially announced the update schedule for Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) Android 4 for the Optimus 2X, saying that they will be starting from the second quarter of 2012. Well, we’re pretty sure most of you don’t wanna wait that long to get ICS. Thankfully, you don’t have to, as CM9 (Cyanogenmod) has finally arrived on the shores of the Optimus 2X and the T-Mobile G2x, bringing you a taste of Android 4 well ahead of the official update schedule, as is always the case with Cyanogenmod.

Developer arcee from Rootzwiki has released beta builds of CM9 for both the Optimus 2X and the T-Mobile G2x. There are some issues in the ROM which is to be expected as it is in beta stage, and some bugs can always crop up. But hey, that shouldn’t deter you from trying the ROM (when has it ever?).

It’s finally here. MIUI 4 based on Ice Cream Sandwich for the Evo 3D CDMA. Released  by XDA member, JoelZ9614, this is a preview ROM, and is not completely ready yet, with some bugs here and there. But the dev is working hard on it, and we should see a stable update coming out soon enough.

How to Install MIUI 4 on EVO 3D CDMA

1. Download the ICS4BIONIC ROM file from the official development page
   Filename: MIUI-V4.zip | Size: 118 MB
2. Transfer the zip file downloaded in step 1 to the root of your external sdcard on the phone.
3. Power off the phone and reboot to recovery mode
4. Once in recovery, perform a Nandroid Backup of your existing ROM, so that you can always restore it from recovery if something does not work out with this ROM. To perform a backup, in CWM, select Backup and Restore → On the next screen, Select Backup again.
5. Perform a full Wipe.
   • Go to Mounts and Storage, and Select Format System. On the next screen Yes-Format
   • Next select Format Data. On the next screen select Yes-Format Data
   • Now select Format Cache. On the next screen select Yes-Format cache
   • From the main menu, select Advanced, and then Wipe Dalvik Cache–>Confirm Wipe Dalvik on the next screen
6. Now, select “Install zip from sdcard”, then select “Choose zip from sdcard” on the next screen.
7. Now navigate to the file named MIUI-V4.zip that you transferred to phone in step 2 and select it using the power button. Confirm installation by selecting “Yes — Install MIUI-V4.zip”on the next screen. The ROM will now start installing
8. Once the installation is complete, select “go back” then select “reboot system now” to enjoy MIUI 4  Ice Cream Sandwich Preview on your Evo 3D CDMA.

The HP Touchpad has been getting a lot of developer attention lately. A few days ago we told you about the CM9 Alpha being released for the Touchpad and then another bit of exciting news which had CM9 nightlies being out. Today we have another exciting new release for thei awesome little device, Clockworkmod Recovery TOUCH 5.5.0.4 Beta.

This touch-based recovery has been released by XDA member sk8erwitskil who has managed to port it for the Touchpad. The recovery is currently in Beta, and has a few bugs which prevents the touch based part from working the way it should, but a stable build should be out soon enough.

There are 2 versions available for you to test out, one is a fakeflash version, meaning it won’t install itself on your device’s system or make any changes therein, much like a preview file, and the second one is a permanent installation. We would recommend you try out the fakeflash file, and wait for a stable build to be released before you go for a permanent installation. Read on to see how you can try out the new Clockworkmod Recovery Touch on  your HP Touchpad.

How to Test Clockworkmod Recovery Touch on the HP Touchpad

1. Download the CWMRT5504.zip fakeflash file to your PC from the official development page.
2. Transfer the downloaded zip file to your HP Touchpad via USB cable.
3. Power off the Touchpad and boot into Clockworkmod recovery
4. In recovery, scroll down to Install zip from SDcard, and then select Choose zip from SDcard.
5. Now scroll to the CWMRT5504.zip file you transferred in Step 2, and select it using the Power button. This will execute the fakeflash for the CWMR Touch.
6. Once the installation is complete, select Reboot recovery. You should now reboot into the new Touch Clockworkmod recovery.

HTC recently showed a demo of its new Sense UI (Sense 4) that will be the default UI in their Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) ROMs and upcoming phones, and while it’s a beauty to look at, people weren’t too happy as it totally replaces the default ICS UI which is a looker in itself. Well, those looking for a “Senseless” ICS ROM to get the stock ICS experience on their HTC Rezound need to look no further.

This ROM, named simply as ICS 4.0.3, provides a completely stock AOSP experience by removing the Sense UI and is based on the unofficial ICS firmware that was leaked a while back for the HTC Rezound.

Choices, choices, and more choices! It never seems to end, with new ROMs and ports coming up every day from left, right and center. The Motorola Droid 3 has a new Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 based ROM, called AOKP ROM, based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP) that brings fast performance, along with a Pandora’s box of customization options. It is being ported over to the Droid 3 by XDA member Hashcode who also develops the Cyanogenmod (CM9) ROM for the same phone.

11. Important! If you are coming from a Gingerbread ROM, do not let Google restore your settings as this will cause problems.

6. Select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Scroll to the file you transferred in step 2 and select it. Select “Yes” on the next screen to confirm installation.
7. After the installation is complete, select “go back” to go back to the main recovery menu.

5. Select “Wipe data / factory reset” –> then Select Yes - Wipe data/Factory reset on the next screen. (This will NOT wipe your SD cards, only your installed apps and app related data.)
6. Now scroll to “Install zip from sdcard” and select it.
7. Select “Choose zip from sdcard”. Scroll to the file you transferred in Step 2 and select it.
8. Now confirm installation by selecting “Yes — Install SGH-I997_UCLB3_INFUSE.zip”. The ROM will start installing.
9. After the installation is complete, select “go back” and then select “reboot system now” to reboot into the ROM.

The Galaxy Note recently saw the release of an unofficial Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) Android 4.0.3 firmware leak, that many welcomed with open arms as they got a chance to try ICS on the Note, and also paved the way for developers to start building custom ROMs based on ICS. However, it seems some people are running into issues when they try to install custom ROMs from clockworkmod (CWM) recovery when on the ICS firmware.

Here are some of the problems that people are facing:

• Extracting system is done in like 1 sec (while flashing a ROM from CWM)

Step by Step Procedure

1. Download Angelom’s abyssnote kernel.
   Download Link
2. Put the downloaded file on your internal SD card.
3. Turn off the phone, then boot into recovery.
4. Perform a full wipe:
   1. Select “wipe data/factory reset”, then select “Yes” on the next screen.
   2. Select “advanced”, then select “wipe dalvik cache”. Select “Yes” on next screen to confirm. Then go back to the main recovery menu.
5. Select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”, then scroll to the file you transferred to the phone in step 2 and select it. Select “Yes” on the next screen to flash the kernel.
6. Go back to main recovery menu. Select “advanced”, then select “reboot recovery”.
7. You should now reboot into recovery with red text. If not, repeat steps 4-6.
8. Now continue to install/flash ROMs as per the instructions by the ROM developers.

It seems every new day brings a new firmware leak for some Samsung phone or the other! The Samsung Infuse 4G has got a new unofficial Android 2.3.6 firmware, version UCLB3, just a few days after UCLB1 that leaked a few days ago. It seems to be faster than UCLB1 according to reports, so there’s all the reason you need to update your Infuse 4G to UCLB3.

How To Install UCLB3 Firmware on Samsung Infuse 4G

1. Download UCLB3 firmware.
   → Download Link | Filename: SGH-I997_I997UCLB3_UC_ATT.rar | Size: 172 MB
2. Download Odin 1.7 from -> here
   Filename: Odin v1.7.exe
3. Extract the downloaded file ‘SGH-I997_I997UCLB3_UC_ATT.rar’ to get these 2 files:
   1. I997UCLB3-Homebinary.tar.md5
   2. SS_DL.dll [not to be used]
4. Disconnect your phone if it’s connected to PC.  Switch Off your phone. Wait for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
5. Now, put the Infuse 4G in Download Mode — connect USB cable to PC, then connect the cable to the phone while pressing and holding the Volume Up and Down buttons.
6. Open Odin (from step 2) — double-click the Odin3 v1.7.exe.
7. Connect your phone to PC now. You should get the message “Added! !” under Odin’s message box in the bottom left. If you don’t get this message, then probably there is a problem with drivers. Make sure you’ve proper drivers installed. See point 3 above under ‘pre-installation tips’.
8. In Odin, click on PDA and select the file “I997UCLB3-Homebinary.tar.md5″ (from step 3.1).
9. Important! On Odin, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time check boxes are selected. Do not touch any other check box or tab or anything, except as was required in step 8 above.
10. Double check everything said in step 8 and 9 above.
    
11. Now, hit the START button to start the flashing procedure. When the flashing is complete, your phone will automatically reboot — and when you see the Samsung logo, you can safely unplug the cable. Plus, you’ll get a PASS (with green background) message in the left-most box at the very top of Odin.
    IMPORTANT Note: If ODIN gets stuck and doesn’t seem to be doing anything, or you get a FAIL message (with red background) in ODIN, do the following:

    Disconnect the phone from the PC, close ODIN, remove battery, re-insert it, turn phone on in Download mode again, and do the procedure again from Step 6.

12. When it has restarted, your Infuse 4G will be running the UCLB3 2.3.6 firmware. Check version in Settings -> About phone.

How to Install ICS Euphoria RC1 ROM

1. Download the latest version of the ROM from the original development page.
2. Transfer the downloaded zip file to the root of the internal SD card on your phone.
3. Turn off your phone and wait for complete shutdown (wait for capacitive button lights to go off).
4. Then, boot into Clockworkmod (CWM) recovery. To do so, press and hold these 3 buttons together: Volume Up, Volume Down, & the Power button till the screen turns on, then let go of the buttons. In recovery, use Volume keys to scroll up and down and power key to select an option.
5. Perform a full Wipe (this will not wipe your SD cards)
   • Wipe data / factory reset –> then Select Yes - Wipe data/Factory reset on the next screen.
   • Select “mounts and storage“, then select “format system” -> select “Yes” on next screen to confirm. Then, select “go back” to go back to the main recovery menu.
6. Now scroll to “Install zip from sdcard” and select it.
7. Select  “Choose zip from sdcard”. Scroll to the file you transferred in Step 2 and select it.
8. Now confirm installation by selecting “Yes — Install **your_rom_file_name**.zip –  The ROM will start installing.
9. The phone will reboot to recovery in the middle of the installation, then continue installing the ROM.
   NOTE: If your phone simply reboots into recovery but doesn’t continue installing the ROM, repeat steps 6, 7 and 8.
10. After the installation is complete, select “go back” and then select “reboot system now” to reboot into the ROM.

How to Get Clockworkmod Recovery on EL29 Firmware

1. Enable USB Debugging on your phone. To do this, go to Settings » Applications » Development and make sure USB debugging is ticked.
2. Download the tool from here.  Filename: e4gtauto.zip | Size: 87 MB
3. Unzip/extract the file downloaded in step 2 above. You’ll get a folder named “e4gtauto” with a lot of files inside.
4. Connect your phone to the PC.
5. Double-click the file “RUNFIRST.bat” from the “e4gtauto” folder obtained in step 3.
6. Now, press the “C” key on your keyboard. Then, at the next menu that shows up, press the “L” key.
7. Then press any key when prompted to begin installation of Clockworkmod recovery on your Epic 4G. If you get an error, make sure the drivers are properly installed (see step 4 in ‘Pre-installation Requirements’ above).
8. After the procedure is complete, you can unplug your phone from the PC.

1. Download EL29 firmware from any of the download links below.

2. Double-click on the file you downloaded in step 1, then click on ‘Extract’ button to extract the file. This will give you a folder named “Odin-OC”.
3. Open the folder “Odin-OC”, then double-click the file “SPH-D710.EL29_CL852097_ROOTED-OneClick.exe” to run Odin3Execution v1.81.
4. Disconnect your phone from PC (if connected). Power off your phone (wait for vibration to confirm complete switch off).
5. Now, put the phone in Download Mode — press and hold these keys together: Volume Down + Power. You’ll get a ‘Warning!‘ screen.. press Volume up to continue to enter download mode.
6. Connect your phone to the PC. You should get the message “Added! !” under Odin’s message box at the bottom. If you don’t get this message, then make sure the drivers for the phone are properly installed. Check step 3 in ‘Pre-Installation Tips’ above.

Now here’s some epic news for Samsung Epic 4G Touch owners (excuse the pun). An Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 firmware was leaked for it, adding the Epic 4G Touch to the list of Samsung devices that have gotten unofficial ICS firmware from Samsung’s stable. This should be the start of more firmware leaks as is always the case with Samsung’s phones, which should make Epic 4G Touch owners quite happy as they wait patiently for the official release from Samsung.

Btw, FB15 isn’t the only leak and there is one — FB17 — which looks like an higher version of it. You can try that to if you want.

How to Install FB15 on Epic 4G Touch [Step By Step Guide]:

1. Download FB15 firmware.

2. Extract the file you downloaded in step 1 once. Use a software like 7-zip (free software) to do so. You’ll get a file named D710_CODE_SPH-D710.FB15_CL143880_REV02_user.tar after extracting.
3. Download Odin 1.85 from → here.

4. Extract the contents of the Odin 1.85.zip file to a folder.
5. Disconnect your phone if it’s connected to PC.  Switch Off your phone. Wait for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
6. Now, put the phone in Download Mode — press and hold these keys together: Volume Down + Power. You’ll get a ‘Warning!‘ screen.. press Volume up to continue to enter download mode
7. Open Odin (from step 3) — double-click the Odin3 v1.85.exe that you got after extracting the file “Odin 1.85.zip”.
8. Connect your phone to PC now. You should get the message “Added! !” under the Odin’s message box in the bottom left. If you don’t get this message, then probably there is a problem with drivers. Make sure you’ve proper drivers installed. See point 3 above under ‘pre-installation tips’.
9. Now, click the PDA tab, and select the file D710_CODE_SPH-D710.FB15_CL143880_REV02_user.tar you obtained in step 2.
10. Important! On Odin, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected. Do not touch any other check box or tab or anything, except as was required in step 9 above.

[Optional] Getting ODIN to Detect Phone after Flashing FB15

After you flash the FB15 firmware, Odin might not detect the phone when you connect it to the PC. If this happens, do the following:

Go to Device Manager (find it in Control Panel), right-click on the Unknown Device, update driver, click browse, select ‘let me pick from a list’, select all (wait till it loads), find Samsung Co and install one of the ones that have modem in the name.
